Wayne Clark is President and CEO of Wayne Clark & Associates, a metro-Atlanta development company that partners with top national and regional homebuilders to produce residential communities known for their high success as well as their high quality of life.
Wayne Clark & Associates stands apart from most development companies by providing its full complement of builder services all under one roof - from land acquisition, development, and real estate sales to surveying, engineering, and construction management. This not only ensures oversight with a higher level of quality control but also the most efficient and streamlined project timelines.
The firm's vision and excellent reputation are predicated on Mr. Clark's lifetime career in the building and development arena. He has taken this experience and built a company whose success is grounded in a solid foundation of knowledge, ethics, and professionalism.
The building industry runs through the veins of three generations of Mr. Clark's family. He began learning the business as a teen, working initially as a carpenter and brick mason. After graduation from the University of Georgia, he served as a U.S. Navy Seabee, supervising the construction of barracks, landing craft piers, and other military installations in Vietnam.
After his honorable discharge from military service in 1970, Mr. Clark returned home to the States to form Clark & Clark, Inc., a home construction company. In 1977, he formed Georgia Mountain Contracting, Inc., a commercial building company, and served as president for 10 years. In the mid-80's, his company branched into real estate services under a franchise agreement with Coldwell Banker in Gainesville, Georgia. He capped his real estate career in 1997 when he was honored with the prestigious Phoenix Award for 10 years of $1 million-plus sales.
During the 90's, Mr. Clark was involved in setting the benchmark for quality development on the south end of Lake Lanier in Hall County, Georgia, with his development of the exclusive communities of Pointe South and Pointe West among others which still boast some of the lake's most luxurious homes.
He later teamed with friend and colleague Keith Breedlove during 2003 and 2004 to develop a large number of metro-Atlanta's most widely respected real estate developments. Two of the most successful and noteworthy projects included Breckenridge Station in Gwinnett County and Stonehaven Pointe in Forsyth County, both of which have had outstanding sales activity due to their quality, affordable housing laced with a full host of community amenities.
As President of Breedlove Companies, Mr. Clark also enhanced operations with oversight and implementation of a state-of-the-art accounting system that established work-flow systems for management of development projects. He has since upgraded and refined this sophisticated software system for full integration into the operations of Wayne Clark & Associates.
Today, through his firm, Mr. Clark is putting the entire span of his successful development career to full advantage for his company's builder partners. Each of his firm's internal divisions is managed by young, aggressive individuals focused on delivering the most timely and successful projects for the company and its clients.
Mr. Clark and his wife, Lisa, reside in Gainesville-Hall County, Ga., where he has a long history of community service with the Jaycees, United Way, Gainesville State College, Lanier Technical College, and the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce. He has received recognition for his civic service as Gainesville-Hall County Young Man of the Year and selection to the Leadership Georgia program. Industry involvement includes the Home Builders Association of Northeast Georgia, Home Builders Association of Georgia, and the HOW Council of Georgia.
